The children enjoyed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Writing letters \u2709\ufe0f<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Predicting the ending \ud83d\udd2e<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Planning their own characters \ud83d\udd8a\ufe0f<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Next week, we will begin planning our own stories in preparation for the end-of-unit writing test.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\ude0a <strong>IPC \u2013 If You Are Happy and You Know It<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong> Our new unit on emotions has been lots of fun! This week we:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Took part in a <strong>scavenger hunt<\/strong> to find items belonging to different \u201cemotion boxes\u201d \ud83d\udd75\ufe0f<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Had a relaxing <strong>class spa session<\/strong> with calm music, facemasks, and even a little foot massage \ud83e\uddd6 \u2013 the children experienced what \u201ccalm\u201d feels like and how it helps our brains learn<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Created a <strong>collaborative mind map<\/strong> of emotions \ud83e\udde0<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Read a story about <strong>anger<\/strong> and explored how it feels in our bodies, as well as strategies we can use to move back to calm \u2764\ufe0f<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p>The children have been amazing, and I\u2019m so proud of the way they are engaging with their learning and supporting each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Field Trip &#8211; Friday 26th September 2025<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Next Friday, <strong>26th September<\/strong>, our class will be going on a field trip to  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.xn--om2b5a065n.com\/bbs\/board.php?bo_table=bran&amp;wr_id=1\">Lamfore Children&#8217;s Centre<\/a>, followed by some playtime at <strong>Hanmaeum Park<\/strong> in Samsandong area, Ulsan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This trip has been planned to support our current IPC unit, <em>\u201cIf You Are Happy and You Know It\u201d<\/em>, which focuses on emotions and well-being. The activities at the centre and the park will give the children valuable opportunities to explore and reflect on these themes in a fun and meaningful way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please ensure your child wears <strong>clothes that they don\u2019t mind getting messy<\/strong> in the morning, as one of the activities will involve painting and stamping with different foods. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\ude8c <strong>Schedule<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>We will depart school at <strong>9:10am<\/strong> and return in time for the school bus at <strong>3:30pm<\/strong>.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If your child does not take the bus, please make sure they arrive at school no later than <strong>8:50am<\/strong>.<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83e\udd6a <strong>Food<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Please pack an easy-to-eat <strong>snack<\/strong> and a <strong>lunch that does not require microwaving<\/strong>.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A water bottle should also be included.<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udcb0 <strong>Cost<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The total cost of the trip is <strong>22,000 won<\/strong>.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The school is contributing <strong>10,000 won per child<\/strong>, leaving <strong>22,000 won<\/strong> to be paid by parents.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please send the <strong>22,000 won in a labelled envelope<\/strong> to school by <strong>Wednesday, 24th September<\/strong>.<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2705 <strong>What to bring:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Packed lunch  (no microwaving required) and an easy-to-eat snack<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Water bottle<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Change of clothes (t-shirt and trousers)<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Comfortable walking shoes<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Small backpack to carry belongings<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udccc <strong>Permission<br><\/strong> Please confirm your child\u2019s attendance by <strong>Tuesday, 23rd September 2025<\/strong> by filling out the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/pYV8CtXQNHMUkHJk6\">permission form<\/a>.
