Dear Parents,
It is Friday and we have a lovely long break ahead of us! I hope you all have a wonderful time with your family this Seollnal.
Let’s take a look at what we have been up to this week!
In Maths, we have been working on doubling and halving, odd and even numbers, the 10 times-table, and dividing by 10. The children have been using manipulatives and tuff trays to support active, hands-on learning, which has helped build their confidence and understanding of these concepts.
In IPC, we explored different types of sounds. We visited the music room, looked at a sound scale, and investigated how noisy different objects and instruments can be. It was certainly a very noisy week -but lots of fun!
In Literacy, we have come to the end of our unit and the children completed their writing assessment yesterday. I will mark these over the holiday and return them to students next week. After the Lunar New Year break, we will begin an exciting new book, Major Glad, Major Dizzy.
Field Trip Update: The field trip has been rescheduled to Thursday 26th February due to the school’s Open Day on the 24th. Thank you all for completing the form so promptly, and I hope this change does not cause any inconvenience.
I hope you all have a wonderful, restful break, and I look forward to seeing everyone next Thursday!
Take care,
Mrs Sim
