Our Year 5–6 students completed their Being Human sculpture project this week, bringing their tin foil figures to life through different poses and movements.
After exploring how to use tin foil to create three-dimensional figures, students moved on to an extension activity using clay. They shaped their clay into figures showing different body positions, activities, and movements, exploring how simple changes in posture can communicate action and expression.
Through both materials, students developed their understanding of three-dimensional form, body movement, and how sculptures can tell a story without words. It was wonderful to see their creativity and individual ideas come through in their finished work.
