CIS Preliminary Engagement
It was a pleasure to welcome Shane Kells to UHIS this week as part of our ongoing accreditation work with Council of International Schools.
Over the past three days, Mr Kells has spent time meeting with students, staff, parents and our leadership team. He has visited classrooms, reviewed school systems and learning programmes, and gained a deeper understanding of our school community.
The CIS accreditation process is an important opportunity for reflection and growth. It helps us celebrate our strengths while continuing to improve the learning experience and wellbeing of every student at UHIS.
We would also like to sincerely thank Mr Kells for the thoughtful and professional way he has conducted the visit. His understanding of our unique context, along with the genuine and respectful way he has interacted with our community, has been greatly appreciated by staff, students and parents alike.
Thank you to our staff, students and families for their openness, professionalism and support throughout the visit.
The feedback we received during the visit was extremely positive, with many strengths highlighted across the school community and no major areas of concern identified. We look forward to sharing some of the highlights from the final report once it has been completed.

Trips in Week 8
Week 8 will be an exciting week for students across the school, with all classes taking part in educational trips and activities outside the classroom.
Our Upper School students will also be taking part in their residential trip. This is always a valuable opportunity for students to develop independence, teamwork and resilience while creating lasting memories together.
Further details for each trip have been be shared directly with parents by class teachers and trip leaders.
