As another successful school year draws to a close, we have been taking time to reflect on the progress our students have made and the many experiences we have shared as a community. It has been a rewarding year, and we are proud of all that has been achieved.
This week brings our final opportunities to come together as a community before the summer break. We look forward to celebrating our students’ achievements, recognising our graduating students, and thanking the staff members who will be moving on to new adventures.
On behalf of all the staff at UHIS, thank you for your support, encouragement, and partnership throughout the year. It has been a pleasure working with our students and families, and we are proud of all that our community has accomplished together.
To those families who are moving on from UHIS, we wish you every success in the future. To those returning next year, we look forward to welcoming you back in August for another exciting year of learning.

2026/27 School Bus Registration
UHIS will introduce a paid bus service starting in the upcoming 2026/27 academic year.
Students who wish to ride the school bus during the 2026/27 academic year must register in advance. Please note that current bus riders are also required to complete this registration if they wish to continue using the service.

Gyeongju World Trips
Our Gyeongju World trips will take place on Thursday. Please refer to your child’s Class Weekly Update for specific information regarding departure times, arrangements, and any items students may need to bring.
At present, the trips are scheduled to go ahead as planned. However, due to the current weather forecast, there is a small possibility that the trips may need to be rearranged. Should this become necessary, families will be informed as soon as possible.
We look forward to a fun and memorable experience for our students.
Congratulations to Ms Temple
We are delighted to share the wonderful news that Ms Temple is expecting a baby. On behalf of the entire UHIS community, we would like to congratulate Ms Temple and her family and wish them all the very best as they prepare for this exciting new chapter.
Ms Temple will begin her maternity leave from Term 2 of the 2026/27 academic year. To ensure continuity of learning for our students, we have already begun the recruitment process for a maternity leave cover teacher. We will keep families informed as the appointment process progresses and will share further details once a successful candidate has been appointed.
We know our community will join us in extending warm congratulations and best wishes to Ms Temple.
Thank You for Attending Parent Teacher Conferences
Thank you to all the parents who attended our Parent Teacher Conferences. These meetings provide a valuable opportunity for parents, students, and teachers to reflect on progress, celebrate achievements, and discuss next steps for learning.
We greatly appreciate the strong partnership between home and school and the time families took to engage in these important conversations.
If you were unable to attend your scheduled conference and would still like to meet with your child’s teacher, please contact the school. We will be happy to arrange an alternative time where possible.
Final Assembly
Our Final Assembly will take place on Friday 26th June at 11am, and all parents are warmly invited to attend.
This special assembly will provide an opportunity for our school community to reflect on and celebrate another successful year at UHIS. We will recognise the achievements, growth, and contributions of our students throughout the year, celebrate our graduating students as they prepare for the next stage of their educational journey, and say goodbye to members of staff who will be leaving UHIS at the end of the school year.
The Final Assembly is always a meaningful occasion and an important part of our end-of-year celebrations. We look forward to sharing this event with students, staff, and families before moving into our End of Year Celebration afterwards.
End of Year Celebration
The End of Year Celebration will also take place on the final day of term, following a similar format to last year’s successful event. The celebration will begin at 2:00pm.
The school will provide pizza for everyone attending, and parents are invited to bring additional food to share.
Events such as these are only possible with the support of our parent community. Whether it is helping with set-up, bringing food, assisting during the event, or helping with clean-up afterwards, any support is greatly appreciated. If you are willing to help in any way, please contact us. Your involvement helps make these events special for our students and strengthens the sense of community that makes UHIS such a unique school.
End of Term Reports
Due to an error in the formatting of the attendance section of the End of Term Reports, we will be issuing corrected reports on Monday.
We would like to reassure parents that the attendance data itself is accurate and remains unchanged. The issue relates only to how the attendance information was displayed in the report. All report content, including attendance records, teacher comments, and academic grades, remains exactly the same.
