This week, our Year 3–4 students completed the Van Gogh-inspired artwork they began last week. Students refined their expressive use of colour, brushstrokes, and texture while adding final details to their pieces, resulting in a range of unique and vibrant artworks.
Students also finished their Edvard Munch-inspired The Scream project using the reference photos taken during the previous lesson. They explored the dramatic expressions and atmosphere of the painting while interpreting the artwork in their own creative way.
To conclude the lesson, students looked back at the photos of themselves recreating The Scream expressions and discussed how the artist may have felt while creating the painting, sharing their thoughts about emotion and expression in art.
