Ms Murray’s Class – Art Update T1 W2

Our Year 7–9 students have completed their Celebration presentation slides, researching different celebrations and exploring their meaning, traditions, and cultural significance.

After completing their slides, students created their own Celebration Posters. They thought about the meaning of celebration and selected key words, ideas, and images to visually communicate what celebration means to them.

Students who completed their posters have now started exploring Chuseok, one of Korea’s most important traditional celebrations. Using a set of research questions, they are investigating the history, traditions, food, activities, and cultural meaning of Chuseok. They have begun using their research to plan and create an informative one-page Canva poster, which they will continue developing in the coming lessons.
