Year 5–6 explored the use of colour through a Monochromatic Moonlight Landscape project. Using one chosen colour, the kids created spooky night scenes inspired by Halloween. They experimented with tints and shades to create different light and dark effects, while adding texture and varying the size of objects to create depth and atmosphere. In the second session, they used black paper and collage techniques to create spooky Halloween trees and backgrounds, adding contrast and detail to their atmospheric night scenes.
