Mrs Sim’s Class – Art Update – T3-W7

This week, Year 1–2 students learned about the body parts of bees and expressed their understanding through creative artwork. Students used yellow paper and black stripes to carefully construct and decorate their bees while exploring shape, pattern, and simple collage techniques.

Students also observed dandelion flowers and used teacher-prepared paper stamps with white paint to create delicate dandelion seeds, exploring texture and printmaking in a fun and engaging way.

In addition, students observed a variety of flower shapes and created detailed floral drawings on black paper using white pens. This activity encouraged careful observation while helping students develop confidence in line drawing and artistic expression.

It was lovely to see students showing curiosity, creativity, and focus throughout the lesson while exploring nature through art.
