This week, our Year 3 – 4 students continued their Camille Pissarro inspired art project by beginning the painting stage.
Students learned how to use watercolour paints to create different colour tones by adding water and adjusting the intensity of the colours. We also discussed the differences between acrylic paint and watercolour paint, focusing on how each medium is used and how they create different visual effects.
After learning these techniques, students started adding colour to their sketches using watercolours. They carefully layered colours to bring their landscapes to life while thinking about light, atmosphere, and the overall mood of the scene.
Most students are still in the process of developing their paintings, and the artworks are not fully completed yet. Next week, students will continue working on their paintings and we look forward to seeing the finished pieces.
