Mr Dunn’s Class – Art Update T3 W3

This week, our Year 7-9 students explored creating lampshade patterns using glass deco paints.

Glass deco is a DIY craft that uses translucent paints to create designs which can be applied to surfaces like windows, mirrors, and glass, producing a stained glass effect.

Students used visual references to guide their ideas, while also adding their own creative touches to develop unique and personal patterns. As the glass deco paint dries, the colours become more vibrant and take on a glossy, light-catching quality, which made the process even more exciting for the students.

It was a highly engaging activity, and it was wonderful to see all students participating with focus and enjoyment throughout the lesson.
