This week, our Year 3–4 students continued developing their Van Gogh-inspired work on paper. Building on last week’s sketches, they focused on refining their compositions and adding colour, carefully observing details and experimenting with expressive brushstrokes.
Students explored how to translate Van Gogh’s distinctive style onto paper, paying attention to movement, texture, and colour combinations. As they progressed, their confidence grew, and each piece began to show stronger individuality and depth.
It was wonderful to see their focus and enthusiasm throughout the process, as they continued to develop their ideas and bring their artwork to life.
We also took photos for our upcoming lesson inspired by Edvard Munch’s The Scream, with students recreating the expressive poses from the painting. It was a joyful moment, filled with laughter as they playfully practised the dramatic expressions together.
