Ms Staines’s Class – Art Update T1 W10

This week, Year 3–4 continued exploring the human skeleton through an exciting hand skeleton drawing activity.

The kids began by tracing their own hands and carefully observing the positions of the finger joints and bones.

Using their understanding of bone structure, they added the individual bones and experimented with different colours and light and dark tones to create a sense of depth and a 3D effect.

Each artwork developed its own unique character as the kids explored colour, contrast and anatomical detail. It was wonderful to see their creativity and careful observation come together in these striking skeletal hand drawings.

Next week, the kids will begin a new IPC topic, Scavengers and Settlers.

This exciting topic will provide a wonderful opportunity to explore the fascinating connections between history and art, discovering how early humans lived, used natural materials and expressed themselves through art. We look forward to an engaging journey of creativity, exploration and historical discovery!
