Our Year 5–6 students continued exploring the Being Human topic this week through a creative 3D face sculpture activity using colourful pipe cleaners.
Students explored the structure of the human face by identifying key features, including the eyes, nose, mouth and eyebrows. They bent, twisted and connected the pipe cleaners to create their own unique faces, experimenting with different lines, shapes and colours to represent facial features and expressions.
Through this activity, students developed their understanding of facial structure and three-dimensional form while exploring how our facial features help us see, smell, eat and communicate. It was lovely to see their individual ideas and creativity reflected in their finished sculptures.
