UHIS Newsletter – T1W10 – 2026/27

It has been lovely to welcome everyone back after the mid-term break. We look forward to a busy and rewarding second half of the term, with plenty of learning, creativity and opportunities for our school community to come together.

Christmas Gift Giving

For many years, the UHIS community has supported disadvantaged children at Ulsan Children’s Home through our Christmas Gift Giving programme. It is a valued school tradition and a simple way for our families to share the warmth and generosity of the season with children in our local community.

Children and staff at Ulsan Children’s Home with Christmas gifts

Each gift is chosen from a child’s own requested item, making every promise a meaningful one. We are delighted that 11 gift promises have already been made. Thank you for the wonderful start.

There are still gifts waiting to be chosen. If you are able to take part, please choose and reserve a requested gift. Every contribution helps make the season brighter for a child and is a lovely way to support our community together.

2027/28 School Calendar

Planning ahead? The 2027/28 School Calendar is now available for families to view. It includes the key dates for the school year and will help families plan ahead.

New IPC/IMYC Units

Across the school, students are beginning new International Primary Curriculum (IPC) and International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC) units. Each class is exploring a different theme, with learning connected across subjects and opportunities to ask questions, investigate ideas and make meaningful links between knowledge and the world around them.

Our IPC classes will explore the past through Time Travellers, Scavengers and Settlers and Being a Historian, or develop scientific enquiry in Investigators. Our IMYC students begin Structures, exploring the systems and relationships that shape our world. These units create plenty of opportunities for curiosity, discussion, practical investigation and creativity.
